Customer Policy


Please be advised that there is no smoking, candles or open flame of any kind allowed in rooms or Chalet. Maximum occupancy for Chalet is 10 persons. Standard rooms are double occupancy and suites are maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (any additional people their will be a charge). Housekeeping brings fresh towels and changes the bedding once during a weekly stay. Daily tidies and fresh towels can be arranged upon request, between 10am and 2 pm. Please speak to reception prior to check in for this service.


Please note that a security deposit of $150.00 per room and $300.00 per Chalet is required via credit card for all guests upon check in. This deposit will be refunded in full within 4-7 business days, provided there are no damages or extra fees incurred during your stay.

Rooms in the Main Lodge require a full payment at time of booking. The Chalet requires a minimum deposit of 50% at time of booking over 30 days before checkin. Remaining balance is owed 30 days before check-in. If booking Chalet with-in 30 days before check-in, full payment is required.

All bookings are on a first come first serve basis and as such, a reservation will not be upheld if the deposit is not received within 24hrs of booking.

Guest Policy:

Tampering of any room equipment is strictly prohibited. Guests will be held responsible for any damage to rooms, resort property or equipment and may be billed for any necessary repairs, replacement of resort property or professional cleaning. Charges for professional cleaning and repairs are on a “per job” basis and any bills will reflect this. Replacement fee for missing satellite receiver smart card is $80 and will be subtracted from your security deposit prior to your refund. Theft or defacement of resort or personal property will be reported to the proper authorities. Any guest observed not acting in accordance with these policies may be asked to vacate, without refund, at the managers discretion. Hastings Resort is not responsible for any lost or stolen property or any damage to vehicles in the parking areas.


HST is extra and applies to all fees, service charges and purchases. Those with pre-purchased vouchers are required to pay HST toward the voucher at the time of check in.


Voucher number is required at time of booking or room will be held for 24hr. Credit card information is also required upon booking or room will only be put on hold for 24hrs. A printed copy of the voucher is required upon check-in. Vouchers can not be used for multiple stays, combined to make a stay longer or split to make two stays. There will be only one steakhouse voucher per room. Weekday vouchers can be used for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday night stay for an upgrade charge. Hasting Resort does not refund vouchers.


All guests are required to check-in and out at the Reception desk in the main lodge. Check-in is from 4pm to 8pm. Check-out by 11am. If you require an early or late check-in or out, please contact the resort ahead of time to make arrangements.


30 or more days notice - $50.00 admin fee applies. There are no refunds for cancellations with less than 30 days notice. This includes missed reservations. The option to change your date is available with a minimum of 7 days notice. New reservation date must be within 3 months of original reservation and is subject to room availability, there will be a $50 + HST charge for change of reservation and extending of vouchers.

Additional Services/Charges:

Hastings Resort offers wireless internet to all guests free of charge. Please see front desk for access. All phone calls made from rooms are charged 10 cents per minute and will be added to a final bill at check out. $25 fee is applicable for any lost or damaged room key.

Resort Activities:

Activities include Canoes, Kayaks Paddle boat and Bicycles, Volleyball, Badminton and Board Games. A security deposit is required and will be refunded when the equipment is returned, undamaged. Limited equipment is available. Please speak to the Front desk for pricing or to reserve any of the equipment mentioned above. Guests may swim in the river at their own risk. There is no lifeguard manning the river.

ATV and Snowmobile Tours:

Please see front desk for rental fees. A refundable security deposit is required prior to receiving the keys. To ensure availability, please inquire at your earliest convenience after check in. You must be 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license and valid credit card to use all motorized equipment. Use of this equipment and trail riding are at your own risk. Hastings Resort is not responsible for trail safety. Please see Front Desk for pricing.


Please register all day visitors at reception. Overnight guests are allowed if maximum occupancy is not exceeded. A fee of $50 per person applies to all overnight guests. Any guest that remains at the resort past 10pm will be considered an overnight guest.


We ask that all guests be considerate of each other and the neighboring homes and cottages and try to keep the noise to a minimum. 10pm is quiet time and we ask that all guests respect that.

Dog Policy:

Hastings Resort has 2 pet friendly rooms at the main lodge and our Chalet. Speak to reception for pet prices. All dogs must be kept leashed at all times. Any damage or pet “accidents” in rooms will result in a bill for repairs or cleaning, as per the Guest Policy. Pet owners will be held accountable for any complaints from other guests. Please remember that there are Stoop and Scoop laws in effect. Absolutely no pets are allowed in the Steakhouse, with exception to service dogs, as per Ontario legislation. All guest with dogs mush use back entrance, to take the dog in or out.

Room/Chalet Rates:

Hastings Resort rates are seasonal and subject to change periodically. Great service, respect, and smiles are all free of charge here at Hastings Resort. We value the relationships built with our guests.
